It is usually diagnosed in the learning stage of literacy, that is between 4 and 6 years. In the first instance is the teacher who detects this problem, but it must be the psychologist who made the proper diagnosis. In some cases, dyslexia is not noticeable until later, when they learn syntax or grammar. Some of the areas that present difficulties are:

• Forming rhymes or naming numbers and letters, or other sequences.
• With directions, left, right, up, down, etc.
• To read maps
• To remember the correct names of things
• By memorizing lists of telephone numbers
• To complete assignments and tests with time constraints

Dyslexia is a disorder in the acquisition of literacy, which occurs in children with normal IQs, and have no physical or psychological problems that hinder their learning. The treatment of dyslexia is made by working with specialist teachers who return to teach reading skills in a manner appropriate to the possibilities of the child.
