Vitamin D is mainly produced in the skin in response to exposure to sunlight. Extend the midday sun in a swimsuit during a period of 20 minutes can produce between 8,000 and 10,000 IU (200 mcg to 250 mcg) (1). From October to April the sun’s rays are not strong enough to allow sufficient production.

Vitamin D - Sunlight

In the diet is found primarily in animal fats such as in butter, milk, whole milk products and eggs as well as in fish (especially oily fish) and liver. It is also added to some margarines and oils.
Many experts believe that these foods may, however, difficult to meet daily requirements for vitamin D.

- Two cups of milk (500 ml) provides 200 IU (5 micrograms)
- A portion of oily fish provides 200 to 400 IU (5 mcg to 10 mcg) <
- An egg provides 80 IU (2 mg)
- One serving provides 40 IU of liver (1 g).

How much vitamin D per day is recommended to take it?

While Canada’s Food Guide recommends 400 IU (10 mcg) of vitamin D3, various sexperts and organizations like the Canadian Cancer Society instead recommend 1000 IU (25 mcg) per day. As this contribution is almost impossible to obtain through diet, they recommend taking supplements of vitamin D (specifically Vitamin D3).

The Institute of Medicine’s Food and Nutrition Board U.S., the upper tolerable intake of vitamin D3 for adults is 2,000 IU (25 mcg). But some experts believe that this upper limit would be more than 10,000 IU (25 mcg) and the daily dose should be 2000 IU (50 mcg). Symptoms of vitamin D intoxication include weakness, nausea, decreased appetite and weight loss.

This is how different formulations have emerged between the dust should be noted that plant criomolido presented in the form of capsules, modern presentation, simple and easy to drink.
The first written text on medicinal plants dates back to 3000 BC. The authors, Sumerian clay tablets etched in all the knowledge gathered to that time about the healing properties of plants. Well as it begins the official history of the phytotherapy. Although in reality, plants have been being used by man since the earliest times, both for food and for healing.

A real drug
Often oppose the concepts of classical medicine herbal medicine or chemical. However, there is a place reserved for each of them within the context of health. While it is true that the excellent results obtained in many fields awarded a total role in medicine “classic” for nearly a century, so is their involvement in the gradual emergence of side effects, sometimes significant, inciting nowadays prudence. The main advantage of herbal medicine is its own mode of action, exerts a profound effect smoother and without harming the body.

How to be the great current interest?
The increasing interest today in herbal medicine around is not due to a specific event or a trend. Our era is marked by the pursuit of a healthy life and improved quality of life, to get the man has realized the need to turn our eyes to the values that remain basically esecnciales in nature.

Those who begin to practice Buddhist meditation without being initiated into Buddhism still often amazed by the dramatic effect this means. Buddhism opens the mind and makes us see the world differently, and in many cases this change in quality of life is accompanied by an improvement in health.

One of the roads we have to learn Mindfulness Buddhism is also known as Sati, which involves feeding the awareness and contemplation of the world and ourselves through meditation. This is a path to enlightenment, but on a smaller scale, Sati is an excellent option for people with multiple sclerosis.

According to new research published in the journal Neurology, patients suffering from the effects of MS such as fatigue, depression and other mood states associated with it can be found on a Mindfulness way to improve both physical and spiritual , and also a way out of the disease.

It is the conclusion of an experiment in which we worked with MS patients who took classes from eight weeks in Sati, who experienced a significant improvement in their quality of life after having carried out the meditation.

This conclusion deserves to be taken into account if you suffer from this difficult disease, because patients often do not find out her knowing that Buddhism offers a place for all men and women, and may play an important role in reducing effects of the disease.

Foods rich in tryptophan to the lack of serotonin.

Serotonin is a powerful neurotransmitter that is synthesized from tryptophan, contained in food. The lack of serotonin is associated with symptoms of depression, anxiety, anguish and sadness.

Foods rich in tryptophan, act as natural antidepressants, leading to increased serotonin without psychoactive drugs. Learn the proper diet to stimulate the production of serotonin.

The lack of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that acts in the brain, causing many disorders, including depression, anxiety, distress, irritability, and ultimately, sadness.

Serotonin is synthesized from the amino acid tryptophan, which must be incorporated into the daily diet since the body does not produce it. Thus, tryptophan-rich foods act as natural antidepressants, without resort to psychiatric drugs.

Scientific studies have shown that increased serotonin is associated with a feeling of comfort, relaxation, self esteem and concentration. In addition, serotonin is a balance with other neurotransmitters such as dopamine and norepinephrine related to the fear, anguish, anxiety, irritability and eating disorders.

On the other hand, it is necessary for the formation of melatonin, related to the regulation of sleep. Also, the lack of serotonin is associated with compulsive behaviors of addiction.

Some foods, especially rich in tryptophan, therefore, increase levels of serotonin, are the turkey, chicken, milk, cheese, fish, eggs, tofu, soy, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, peanuts and peanut butter.

However, to synthesize serotonin, the body needs in addition to tryptophan, omega 3 fatty acids, magnesium and zinc. Therefore, magnesium-rich foods like bananas, nuts, legumes, vegetables and wheat germ are also considered natural antidepressants, since they act favorably to increase serotonin.
