Sexual Life During Pregnancy

Sex is an essential part of human life, and besides being instrumental in perpetuating the species, implies pleasure, affinity, safety and personal fulfillment, and during the course of pregnancy strengthens the relationship of the parents. However, there are pregnant couples avoid sexual practice for fear of affecting the fetus, but also because interest by discomfort and even respect, depending on the type of beliefs that are taken.

If a few years ago the issue of sexual practices during pregnancy was little attention in prenatal care, there is now greater openness, so that the orientation of the couple or the pregnancy is more objective and takes into account their sexual and reproductive.

Obviously the physician must have a thorough knowledge of the topic of sexual activity during pregnancy, especially if it presents a risk.

Normal pregnancy

Normal pregnancy occurs when the sperm fertilizes the egg, in the first ten weeks after fertilization form organs and organ system are different, the duration of pregnancy is 266 days, or nine months, with three quarterly periods. During this time, mother and baby bond and create a microenvironment of life and harmony until birth, to physiological changes in the different stages that promote normal development of pregnancy.
