Dyslexia

Dyslexia is a disorder in the acquisition of literacy, which occurs in children with normal IQs, and have no physical or psychological problems that hinder their learning. The treatment of dyslexia is made by working with specialist teachers who return to teach reading skills in a manner appropriate to the possibilities of the child.
Etymologically, dyslexia means difficulty in language. It is now used to describe the problems in reading acquisition, presenting children with normal IQ and no other physical or psychological problem that impedes their learning.
The statistics speak for between 10 and 15% of the population affected by this disorder.
Although not all agree, affects more children than girls.
Since reading and writing are the mediators of education, there are many children who have performance problems because of this.
The treatment of dyslexia in children can learn to read, and function normally. But this depends on how quickly it is diagnosed, and support.
The child learns to read, recognize letters and their sounds separately. Then begin to group them into words. Later form sentences.
In general, dyslexic children have problems connecting point with their sound, and also to combine sounds to form words. In other cases, have difficulty learning the correct order of letters.
Current studies indicate that dyslexia occurs because of the way the brain is formed, and how it processes the information received. These people process information in a different part of the brain than other people.
It is still not known what causes this phenomenon, but it is suspected that genetics is involved.
Dyslexia in the classroom
Dyslexia results in poor school performance, as the instrument par excellence in education is literacy, and these children do not reach properly handled in this area. Not being diagnosed, are pressured to act in a way that they are unable, precisely because of its limitations. This leads to submit distracted behavior, disturbing, having a poor self-concept.
Dyslexia comes in many grades, from little difficulties, quickly overcome, to severe that are dragged lifetime, and may border on disfacia.
