As it is, and is convenient to know how to minimize those risks with a few simple steps.</p>
<p>According to a study conducted by researchers at Yale University (published online before publication in the journal Indoor Air), reports that the mere fact of entering a room can launch up to 37 million bacteria into the air every hour. Where do these bacteria &#8220;flying&#8221;? For the most part of other people who went before and deposited on the floor. The dust that accumulates on the floor is the main source of the bacteria that you breathe.<span id="more-1462"></span></p>
<p>To do the study, researchers analyzed the biological particles in a university classroom on the first floor of the building for eight days straight, four when the classroom is regularly occupied and four when it was empty all the time. Doors and windows were closed during the study.</p>
<p>During the four days when the classroom was occupied, there was a significant increase in airborne concentrations of bacteria and fungi of various sizes. About 18% of new bacteria and deposited before came from the people, not plants or other sources.</p>
<p>The result of this study is a wake up call for all protect the quality of air we breathe, especially in enclosed spaces and so protect our health. Among these are:</p>
<p>- Snuff smoke, even the so-called &#8220;second hand&#8221;. Quit smoking, if necessary seeking medical help, and do not let anyone smoke in your home or your car.<br />
- Pets. Ideally, keep them out of the house if someone in your family has asthma. If that is not possible, do not let them come into the sickroom, and often vacuuming the floor and furniture to remove hair and skin particles.<br />
- Dust mites. They are tiny insects found in mattresses, pillowcases, clothes, bedspreads and articles in general fabric. To help eliminate them, wrap mattresses and covers in special covers dust-proof, wash bedding weekly in hot water, if possible, do not use carpet in the house not put in the beds stuffed toys, or wash them weekly in hot water or warm.<span id="more-1455"></span><br />
- Cockroaches. Many people are allergic to cockroaches and other insects or their excrement. To avoid them in your house, do not leave any food outside. Store all food in closed containers. Keep the house clean. Use powders, gels or boric acid to eliminate them. If you must use pesticides, do not let the affected person into the room until the smell disappears.<br />
- Mold inside the house. Repair leaky faucets or any water leaks in general. And clean the mold-covered surfaces with a bleach product (preferably filtered out the mold). If you live in a warm and humid climate, you may need to use air conditioning or a dehumidifier.<br />
- Outdoor mold and pollen. During the proper season to allergies, if you can stay behind closed doors from late morning until evening.<br />
- Strong odors and sprays. Avoid the lacquer (spray) hair, perfumes, paints and any liquid pungent odor.<br />
- Air pollution. Pay attention to air quality, and avoid outdoor activities (outdoors) if it is severely contaminated.<br />
- Strenuous physical activity. But exercise is important to maintain health, you should consult your doctor about what activities you can do.<br />
- Some medicines, some people with asthma should avoid certain medications such as aspirin and other NSAIDs.<br />
- Some foods and additives that are added to foods can trigger asthma in some people.<br />
- Intense emotional states, some people can trigger asthma attacks or hyperventilation same followed by asthma attacks.<br />
- Some respiratory tract infections such as colds or colds, influenza (the flu), bronchitis and sinusitis can trigger asthma attacks.</p>

If you or a family member with this disease, find out how you can prevent and control. Because asthma is not curable, but there are ways to control it effectively.</p>
<p>The American Lung Association also agrees that May is a good month to learn about asthma and the care that patients require. Over 25 million people (seven million of them children) living with the disease in the United States alone. And nearly half (11 million) suffer from attacks that could be prevented. Prevention is precisely what the CDC emphasizes&#8217;s National Asthma Control Program (Asthma Control Program of the Centers for Disease Control). The most important thing is to teach people with asthma and their families how to manage the disease and thus prevent attacks.<span id="more-1453"></span></p>
<p><strong>What is asthma?</strong></p>
<p>It is a chronic lung disease, which affects the airways. The airways include the tubes that carry air into the lungs and out of them called bronchi. If you suffer from asthma, your airways are more sensitive to some substances that can be irritating or act as allergens (a substance that causes allergy because the immune system thinks it&#8217;s &#8220;weird&#8221; or that attacks the body). Exposure to these substances or other causes that can trigger asthma attacks, cause a reaction in the bronchi causing the inner walls of these tubes are swollen, narrow, and increase production of mucus and lungs get less air. Signs and symptoms of asthma more common include: difficulty breathing, wheezing and cough, there may also be feeling in the chest. Asthma can affect people of any age but usually begins in childhood.</p>
<p>If these symptoms become very intense, is said to be an attack or an asthma attack. Asthma attacks should be treated immediately so as not serious. If the asthma attack is severe and not treated in time, the airways narrow even more.</p>
<p>Not all people with asthma have all the symptoms, presence of symptoms necessarily indicate asthma. Only medical tests can tell for sure. In some cases, symptoms are mild and are nothing more than a mere inconvenience. In others they are so intense, that hinder the normal activities of daily living. In extreme cases, can be deadly. Hence the importance of treating them as they arise.</p>

Recent research found that walking between 9 and 15 kilometers (5 to 9 miles) per week may help preserve memory and prevent brain diseases that can occur with age. <p>If you are someone who believes that spending hours doing crossword puzzles and mental exercises to help you speed up and keep alive your memory, here is a new activity that can help achieve that goal and, if practical, will also help you stay healthy. Why? Because it&#8217;s just walking, but specifically, walking between 9 and 15 kilometers (5 and 9 miles) per week.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s right! A simple exercise like walking, which brings enormous physical benefits, it is also good for your memory. The data come from a recent study published in the journal Neurology, in which researchers at the University of Pittsburgh led by <em>Kirk I. Erickson</em> found that the brain&#8217;s gray matter is not reduced when doing this amount of exercise.<span id="more-1447"></span></p>
<p>Although this is an observational study, researchers concluded that the more you walk, more gray matter will be taken after a decade or more in brain regions that are essential for knowledge.</p>
<p>They also noted that the relationship between walking and gray matter volume appears to occur only in people who regularly walk relatively long distances, equivalent to 9.6 km to 14.5 km per week. By contrast, the envelope required and walk over the account is not shown to have more cognitive benefits (for the mind and thinking).</p>
<p>Similarly, walking can also promote connectivity of brain circuits, which tends to decrease as we age. This connectivity is allowing us to perform everyday cognitive activities such as driving a car. So I found another study, in this case led by Arthur F. Kramer, University of Illinois, and published in the journal Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience.</p>
<p>This will add more evidence of how exercise helps maintain good health. Indeed, it is considered that some activity between 30 and 60 minutes per week allows, among other things:</p>
<p>- Maintain capacity to think, reason and learn, in healthy<br />
- Improve memory, reasoning and judgment in people with Alzheimer&#8217;s or cognitive impairment, and<br />
- Delaying the onset of Alzheimer&#8217;s in people at risk of developing this disease</p>

<p>There is preliminary evidence suggesting that green coffee extract can improve body composition and weight in overweight people. However, well designed clinical trials require a larger scale to confirm these results.<span id="more-1432"></span></p>
<p>In a new study, researchers recruited 16 overweight or obese from 22 to 26 years of age and asked to consume capsules of extract of unroasted coffee beans or a placebo for 22 weeks. The coffee extract was given in doses of 700 milligrams or higher than 1,050 milligrams. During the study period, each subject alternated between the high dose, low dose and placebo.</p>
<p>After 22 weeks, participants had lost an average of 17 pounds (7.7 kilos). They had a mean body weight decreased from 10.5 percent and a mean body fat reduction of 16 percent. According to researchers, weight loss would have been even greater if participants had taken only the extract of coffee beans throughout the study, rather than also taking placebo.</p>
<p>The team concluded that unroasted coffee beans may help improve weight loss. However, more research is needed to confirm these findings.</p>
