Syphilis is one type of venereal disease which is spread through unsafe sexual contact (not using a condom or with a different partner).

The disease is caused by bacteria. It usually occurs between three weeks to three months after having sex with an infected person. Symptoms of this disease is incurred injury to the skin like a hole in the skin with a higher edge and generally no pain. The wound will usually heal after several weeks but the virus can remain in the body and re-emerged a different place. Can be gradually cured by penicillin.
