Yoga is an ancient system of relaxation, exercise and healing with origins in Indian philosophy. Yoga has been described as “the union of mind, body and spirit,” which addresses the physical, mental, intellectual, emotional and spiritual into a harmonious state of being.

In this study, 16 postmenopausal women with more than 36 percent body fat were randomized or yoga exercise group or a control group without exercise for 16 weeks.
